Clearly you are deluded and I'm the one you suggest to see a therapist.
Curiously you would call a random stranger on the internet deceitful, when he just wants to be able to use his hardware as intended with an operating system that has almost absolute monopoly in the market.
Yet you give the benefit of the doubt to behemoth corporations that stand to make billions to trillions of dollars by being anti competitive?
I think I'm good thanks, I will do without therapy.
Now wsl2 was not even in existence when I purchased my CPU and your right, I did use a competing hypervisor (Vbox) and docker lcow.
However docker and wsl2 changed during the life of my hardware and I then discovered that HV does not do SVM.
This is why I was asking about this feature in 2020 not 2019.
The fundamental point remains however. When you have an absolute monopoly on a market (pc desktop market), you have a duty to treat all suppliers products fairly without selective favouritism.
I'm not sure if you are old enough to remember the Netscape v ie days in the mid nineties when Microsoft was nearly broken up as a business due to its anti competitive business practices.
Perhaps the reason I waited to buy a 3600 to replace my 2500k was because the 5% per generation performance bumps did not warrant the price.
The i5 10th gen you mentioned has only become reasonable in specs after Ryzen took off like a rocket (but that's a side conversation bashing Intel.... So let's not go there)
The point is I have a strong preference for and lean towards AMD products over Intel. However Microsoft is actively delaying and blocking the use of certain features of AMD hardware from their operating systems whilst supporting Intel it's competitor.
While you have mentioned multiple times you feel nested AMD is not very common requirement, you have not clarified why there is support for 1 manufactures CPU but not the others.
Finally you claim that this feature will be with us in a few months.
I've already been waiting a year. Please provide me a formal source for your assumption that it will be a few months. And stop promoting competitors hardware.
I Like my AMD. I prefer windows as a host O/S over most Linux distro a. And I want nested virtualization which should work but does not work. And no I don't want to buy an Intel CPU instead just to get a feature that is already built into the CPU.
Perhaps side with internet strangers that are not trying to take away your money instead of corporations that are. Open your eyes, it is business, it is deceptive and it is wrong.
