This has officially killed my Hololens 2. Before the update, it was correctly skipping the PIN/Password which I had set up more than 6 months ago, and long since forgotten. After the update, it won't let me log in unless I manage to figure out the PIN/Password that was used forever ago. It is now forcing an annoying A1B2C3 pin entry between every attempt, to no avail. I am still able to access the Windows Device Portal through the network, but of course that's unhelpful and won't allow me to do any troubleshooting, device resets, or other such useful behaviors.
I am no longer able to factory reset using the buttons like I have done before; apparently this new release disabled using the buttons to force a factory reset? Additionally, I am unable to do anything using the Recovery Tool aka Advanced Recovery Companion referenced at (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/hololens/hololens-recovery) because it won't let me do anything (downloaded image or otherwise) if I'm currently locked out. I'm a DEVELOPER for the Hololens 2, how can you expect me to want to deploy this to commercial and industrial clients, let alone recommend doing so to my chain of command, if later on down the line we are completely incapable of even resetting/supporting the thing? Even in this moment, an on-site call wouldn't even be an option for support ticket escalation because the device is effectively bricked.
