How has being part of the Microsoft Student Ambassadors community helped you connect with other tech enthusiasts and expand your global network?
Thanks to the Microsoft Student Ambassadors program, I had the privilege of connecting with ambassador groups that had already established student communities. This experience enabled me to participate in their initiatives prior to my acceptance as an ambassador, providing opportunities to engage with technology enthusiasts, share knowledge, learn from others, and gain inspiration to create my own community.
During this period, we participated in a hackathon that significantly increased my visibility within the program—and we emerged victorious. This achievement marked a turning point in my career. It was the first step toward a series of opportunities that followed. Upon being accepted into the program, I was eager to grow, accomplish milestones, and organize impactful events. From the outset, I aspired to make a difference and founded a community aimed at promoting the participation of women and students in hackathons.
Our continued success led to the creation of a network that encouraged more women to join. As I advanced, I received invitations to speak at the Student Summit and Microsoft Reactor, and the program inspired me to apply for the GitHub Campus Experts program. Today, as a professional, I look back with pride in this remarkable journey.
I remain committed to contributing to communities and educational institutions through workshops, talks, and collaborative projects and keep the mission of making technology accessible for all.
What impact did access to Microsoft tools and resources - like Azure credits, Visual Studio Enterprise, and Copilot - have on your journey as an AI-focused tech leader?
The Microsoft Student Ambassadors program provided invaluable support during my time as a student, particularly given the limited access to resources and the high cost of many industry tools. The program benefits offered me the opportunity to learn and work with technologies widely used in the professional environment, such as cloud computing, Azure services, learning platforms, and a collaborative workspace to begin developing my own projects.
Leveraging these tools allowed me to strengthen my technical skills and share opportunities with fellow students. One of the first resources I explored was Azure Cognitive Services, which enabled me to create my initial presentation for Microsoft Reactor and showcase the process of training artificial intelligence models. I also explored the Power Platform creating my first Power App with an automation flow.
Additionally, resources such as virtual machines facilitated the development of my university projects, while Microsoft Learn provided structured learning paths. Collaborating through Microsoft Teams with other ambassadors further enriched my experience and fostered a culture of teamwork and knowledge exchange.
In what ways has the Student Ambassadors program strengthened your resume, boosted your confidence, or helped you develop AI-ready skills for your future career?
The Microsoft Student Ambassadors program provided me with invaluable resources to expand my knowledge and access tools that are often difficult for students to obtain. Beyond technical resources, the program offered opportunities to develop public speaking and communication skills, which proved essential for articulating my abilities and experiences professionally even after graduation.
Today, I work as an Artificial Intelligence professional specializing in Microsoft solutions. Having prior experience with these tools gave me a significant advantage in the industry.
For me, enhancing both technical and soft skills has always been a priority, as I believe both are critical for success in the industry. Thanks to the program, I was able to organize events and deliver talks that strengthened these competencies.
Most importantly, Student Ambassadors fosters a supportive community that builds confidence in a safe environment. As students, navigating these challenges alone can be difficult, but within Student Ambassadors, there is always someone ready to lend a hand and encourage you to move forward.
