Transcripts and captions coming to Stream on SharePoint

Hi oiverson if I understand your scenario, you want to be able to search the transcript for a keyword and jump to that point in the video.  We are working on that now and it should begin rollout out soon (by the end of the year) and completing rollout early next year. 

Hi malcolmcreen a few points here.  First we will be adding transcription for mp3 files, if that is helpful for your scenario, but don't have firm timing on that yet to share.  Second, yes we aware of the mutliple clicks needed to generate a transcript on demand now and will be experimenting with ways to improve this overall UX.  Third, we will be automatically transcribing some Stream videos on upload so that you shouldn't have to click in to do it on demand, for each file.  Hopefully that alleviates your pain here.  Finally yes we did have a recent unusual delay in generation and we have been looking into that.  Thank you for the feedback!
