Thanks for shining a light towards the end of the tunnel Rodrigo.
I should admit that my use case is a little out of the ordinary as I never actually put videos on Stream; I upload mp4s converted from mp3s that originate as the narration of PowerPoint slides created by academic staff in my university. I do this to convert the lecture content to Articulate Storyline interactive presentations.
There was a time when Classic would accept an mp3 simply renamed as mp4 and generate a transcript – downloadable as a vtt. Now I must run a batch mp3 to mp4 conversion on the files: Stream in SharePoint cannot be fooled so easily.
This use case includes the fact that in any one month, I might need to upload to Stream 100-200 short mp3s (masquerading as mp4s). Stream in SharePoint costs me about 8 clicks – per file! – to trigger the automated transcript generation process. Classic used to do this for me in about four clicks regardless of the number of separate files uploaded. So: seconds to do in Classic; hours to do In Stream in SharePoint.
Meanwhile, just yesterday, Stream in SharePoint took over 24 hours to generate the transcripts for several of my files.
