The final paragraph mentions a world record for ETL load performance. The fine folks who maintain the http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlperf have http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlperf/archive/2008/02/27/etl-world-record.aspx , explaining how they were able to load over 1 TB of TPC-H data in under 30 minutes. It makes for a very interesting read!
