Skype for Business for Android 6.8

We are happy to announce that we have released Skype for Business for Android version 6.8 

 

With this release comes the following features:

  • Application level encryption (all SfB Android data at rest are encrypted now, except for Voice Mail which is coming in the next release)
  • Skype Emoji
  • Improvements to sign in including reliability gains
  • Additional telemetry for Meetings events
  • PSTN fall back for P2P calls and where other party is on PSTN
  • Plus - Many bug fixes and performance improvements

    I have a question from one of our customers regarding the Android client.

     

    A while ago, the IOS version was redesigned to use Apple CallKit to call management on the device.

    Great feature making it more easy for a user to manage parallell calls.

     

    The question is if the Andriod version work the same way, enabling the user to handle both traditional mobile calls and SFB calls in the same app or interface?
