Hello,
Following your recent message, I would like to formally request an escalation of my case regarding the revocation of my PL-300 exam.
The justification provided — “unauthorized interruption of the session (unscheduled break) and leaving the exam session” — directly contradicts the official rules published on Microsoft Learn, which clearly state that candidates are allowed to take an official unscheduled break by clicking the “Take a break” button. This is exactly what I did.
I did not take any unauthorized break:
• I used the official “Take a break” function
• My screen locked as expected
• I never attempted to return to previous questions
• I still had more than 40 minutes remaining to complete the last 4–5 questions of the case study
Therefore, I kindly request clarification on the following points:
• Which exact rule did I violate?
• Please provide the official text stating that using the “Take a break” button constitutes a violation.
• Why is a break officially provided by Microsoft considered “unauthorized” by OnVUE?
• Why am I not being offered a retake when this situation appears to result from a misinterpretation of the rules?
Considering the significant impact this has on my professional future (I recently applied for a position that specifically requires this certification), I respectfully request one of the following:
• Evaluation of my exam based on the 52 questions I completed, with certification granted if my score is sufficient; or
• A free retake, which is typically granted when the issue is not caused by the candidate.
I also request that my case be escalated to the appropriate higher-level team, ideally the Certification/Exam Security team or the Microsoft psychometrics team if necessary, so that this decision can be reviewed objectively.
Thank you in advance for your time and for a fair reconsideration of my situation.
