I found this article really helpful—thank you for sharing these updates. I also noticed that I’m holding four certifications that are now listed as retired, and interestingly, my AZ‑500, which I took just one week ago, is also on the retirement list.
Is there any official link where we can check the lifecycle or validity period of Microsoft certifications? It would be really useful to know in advance when a certification is close to retirement, so we can avoid spending time preparing for exams that are about to be replaced.
Honestly, it’s quite exhausting to see a newly earned certification retiring so soon. Having clearer visibility on the certification lifespan would definitely help with planning our learning path.

There isn't a strict certification lifecycle, instead exams and certifications are reviewed regularly for relevance and level of change and are retired/replaced on this basis. Some certifications have been available for 6+ years, others are shorter. AZ-500 was released in early 2021. Typically, Microsoft provides six months notice of retirement.
