MicrosoftThis is correct about AZ-802 because that's a consolidation of two exam requirements into one resulting in the same certification that exists today. If the name of certification changes, it's a new certification, meaning that you must take and pass the new exams to earn the new certification. The skill sets are different and while the new certs may seem like replacements, they are only in the sense that the jobs roles that the "old" certifications represent have changed into something else. The skill sets are similar in some ways, but they are different enough in significant ways that it's no longer the same certification.
