MicrosoftI understand your frustration and I'm in total agreement - wtf are they thinking here.
It's like the Az-800/801 going into one certification the az-802 - so, if they don't allow us to renew and FORCE us to take the 802 exam, then we would have paid a total of £360 in exam fee's in just over a year (depending on how quickly you earned both exams) AND we would only have the original certification for one year. Say if we cannot take the az-802, then we lose the certification.

If you’ve already earned the certification by completing Exam 800 or 801, there’s no need to take the new Exam 802. Simply renew your certification through the new 802 renewal assessment before the expiration date of the previous one, just as you would have with the previous version.
