Multiple people in this thread have asked whether AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer Associate) will be accepted as a prerequisite for AB-100. Given that the exam requires knowledge of Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, and AI architecture patterns, why isn't AI-102 on the list of accepted prerequisites alongside the 11 Dynamics/Power Platform Associate certifications?
Also worth noting: the exam/certification page itself doesn't mention any prerequisite requirement — only this blog post does.
Microsoftandrewgreene The team that owns this decision about including AI-102 as an option for the associate requirement is exploring this possibility. I don't know what the decision will be, but they are considering it based on feedback from the community. If it's added, it will be retroactive. As for the list of pre-reqs, I'm not sure why they aren't on the cert details page. I have reached out to the team to determine if the page is set up correctly; it's possible that the list of options is too long for the limitations of the template that we have to use for expert certs, but I'll figure out what we can do to make sure that it's listed somewhere on that page. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
