With the SCUs, I have another service that is 100% unpredictable in cost. "$4 per SCU per hour" and "depends on the number of queries run and the complexity of each query" means literally "you cannot estimate anything about the cost of this service". I need to tell my management how much we will spend when subscribing to and using the service - even if that is just an estimate. If you can provide some example queries with a calculation with how much SCU-hours 1000 Execution of such queries would cost, that would be a great starting point. But I cannot call management and tell them "There is a great service, we want to use that does cost only 4$ per hour" and then when they ask us how many hours per year we will use it we simply say "no idea - maybe between 10 and 100000"? What we need are examples of "what" does cost "how much". When I have only one person that does some analysis once or twice a month: how much will it cost? When I have 10k devices, will they add cost because of incoming information that needs to be processed?
