I used to wait anxiously for each Byte magazine issue (my dad had us a subscription in the 90's and it took few weeks from print to Brazil) to learn more about new NT complex features for commodity hardware such as preemptive multitasking, portability and subsystems (this people take for granted running WSL today).
I've got all Insider books which I always found fundamental for engineers running Windows. Today I have fond memories reviewing the system changes over the years and they are still coming!
