I have started working with Compliance manager but the interface is missing some critical pieces so we are left to use Excel. You cannot populate the control fields with planning details, projected ETA'a etc... its limited to a 1/0 as it sits today with very little flexibility so its not a great landing zone for Work in progress, we are unfortunately performing our working details in excel an having to do double entry in the Compliance manager (perview) interface. I have sent this recommendation back to MSFT through various channels but seems like its fallen on deaf ears. There are also several line items per control in the templates that do not map directly to NIST or CMMC requirements and trying to determine if these are really required or just general microsoft security best practices, not that they are bad but this lowers the confidence value on the Perview tool with respect to CMMC hard requirements to the point we may stop using it as it appears to be causing more confusion than its worth and we do not need more confusing when it comes to CMMC!!
