We are excited to announce that we are bringing Universal Print to government organizations with the general availability of Universal Print in GCC/GCC High. Universal Print in GCC/GCC High aims to offer full feature parity with what exists in the commercial cloud today, while remaining compliant with certifications that are required for U.S. government organizations.

Universal Print is a cloud-based print solution that enables a simple, rich, and secure print experience for users, while reducing time and effort for IT, by moving print management to the cloud. Print administrators can register printers with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly known as Azure Active Directory) and manage them through the Universal Print online portal, without the need for traditional on-premises print servers and printer drivers.

Universal Print in GCC/GCC High adheres to Zero Trust principles, assuming by default that no device or connection is secure and instead validating each connection. Whether it’s ensuring documents containing sensitive information remain secured throughout the print process or easing the burden for print administrators, government organizations can feel confident that their cloud printing solution offers security and a seamless experience for both employees and IT professionals alike with Universal Print in GCC/GCC High.

This is an exciting update for government organizations, as Universal Print in GCC/GCC High provides a secure, cloud-based solution that simplifies print management while adhering to critical compliance standards. The integration with Microsoft Entra ID and Zero Trust principles ensures both security and efficiency for IT administrators and users. The license-based job allocation is a clear and flexible approach, catering to different government needs. It's great to see feature parity with the commercial cloud, making this a seamless transition for organizations.

Interestingly, the ease and flexibility of this solution remind me of how WhatsApp Plusv 18.40 offers additional features beyond the official app, catering to users' diverse needs with enhanced functionality. While Universal Print prioritizes security and compliance, just as WhatsApp Plusv 18.40 enhances user experience, both highlight the importance of customizing services to suit specific audiences. Looking forward to the AMA webinar for more insights and future updates on this innovative offering.

I have the same issue. No licenses purchased through CSP have the universal print service available. THe OLS license is available through an enterprise agreement only.
