Per RFC 6877 464XLAT: Combination of Stateful and Stateless Translation it is customer-side translator (CLAT). Why would I need anything Carrier Grade on my local computer doing stateless translations. Now the provider-side translator (PLAT) / NAT64 may need a bit more horsepower to handle all the clients since it is doing stateful IPv6 to IPv4 translation of the source address. But CLAT is not Carrier-Grade in any way, perhaps Customer Local Address Translator. I'm happy that we are getting IPv6-Mostly on the Windows platform. Can't wait to see in the Experimental branch to play with myself, though I may need to jump to Canary and the Future Development to start playing today, and will be ecstatic to see it in a production build that everyday users can partake in.
Definitely spin up a Canary test machine and give it a go. It's simple and works perfectly. You'll love it. Can't for GA! :)
