For over 30 years, WPC Milan has brought together Italian IT professionals to learn, network, and influence the industry's future.
A Landmark Edition for the Italian Tech Community
WPC Milan 2025 confirmed once again that it is the beating heart of the Italian tech community. For three decades the conference has been the event where developers, IT professionals, architects, business leaders, partners, MVPs and Microsoft experts come together to learn, connect and shape the future of digital innovation. This year’s conference t set a new benchmark, offering more technical depth, more AI‑driven content and a stronger community presence than ever before.
The numbers help capture the scale of the event. Over the course of three full days, WPC welcomed one thousand attendees who had access to one hundred and eight technical sessions, ten keynotes and six specialized tracks that covered the most relevant areas of modern technology. The speaker lineup included one hundred and three experts, among whom forty‑six were Microsoft MVPs and forty were Microsoft employees contributing directly to their engineering and product expertise. These figures confirm WPC as the most significant independent Microsoft‑focused conference in Italy.
AI, Cloud, and Data Modernization Shape the 2025 Program
Artificial Intelligence and Microsoft Copilot represented the core of WPC Milan 2025. The conference explored how Copilot is reshaping productivity and collaboration inside organizations and how Azure AI enables the creation of intelligent applications powered by modern large‑scale models. Attendees engaged with sessions on responsible AI adoption, governance and security, enterprise readiness, application patterns, and the foundations of prompt engineering. The message was clear throughout the program: AI is no longer a vision for the future but a present‑day imperative for any organization seeking competitiveness.
Cloud and data modernization served as the second major pillar of the event. Reflecting the themes highlighted in OverNet’s Azure Database content, WPC 2025 dedicated extensive space to workload modernization with Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, to high‑performance architectures, to real‑time analytical solutions, and to the growing importance of vector databases and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation as the foundation for Copilot‑driven scenarios. The sessions helped professionals understand how modern cloud data platforms support and accelerate AI transformation
