Today we are launching a new platform for the Microsoft community leaders who are part of our Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), Regional Directors (RDs) and Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors (Student Ambassadors) programs.

Community leaders can now create profiles more easily, share impactful contributions that matter most, and connect with others more seamlessly. The new platform also integrates community leader activities with other resources like Microsoft Learn and Microsoft Reactors. Behind the scenes, we’ve updated our stack and further invested in the fundamentals including one identity, accessibility, responsiveness, security, privacy, and tools to better manage the program membership and benefits.

Key Capabilities

Enhanced profiles. Community leaders can customize their profiles by adding a headline, list their most impactful activities, include a biography and more. This enables MVPs, RDs and Student Ambassadors to promote their work, skills, achievements, and interest in our community.

Improved discoverability of community leaders. Use enhanced search features to discover MVPs, RDs, and Student Ambassadors. Filter by program, geography, technology area, industry focus, and more.  Community leaders can also utilize the directory to find others in the program to network, collaborate and share knowledge quickly!

  • Benoit_Hamet  I ran into the same thing. In my case, it was because one of my description fields was a few characters beyond the limit.

I imagine a blank but required field would have the same effect.

@MVPGA It would be better if the profile page didn't let you close sections with missing or incorrect data. Or clicking Save would open any sections with problems.

  • Benoit_Hamet thank you for being the first to comment. 🙂 #1 and #2 above sound like permissions for your specific account so will you please contact MVPGA@microsoft.com to make any needed changes? Thank you!

  • Hi team
    immediate comments/feedbacks:

    • Profile: can not save any change after editing profile - save button continuously greyed out and changes are not saved
    • Distribution Lists: no DLs showing in "Join a DL"
    • Activities: the list of past activities is very limited (only 54) and not really useful compared to the previous UI for activities
