This year’s Microsoft AI Tour is more than halfway through- and MVPs have made a huge splash around the globe- with more to come!

This is an update rooted in gratitude and pride in the accomplishments of our community. If you’ve participated in the Microsoft AI Tour: we’re hugely grateful for your sharing of your time and expertise. MVPs acting as speakers and proctors on the Tour have directly engaged with more than 7,000 individual attendees- which doesn’t even begin to cover the conversations had at technical booths across the cities!

MVPs have played a crucial role in bringing fresh perspectives to customer questions in technical booths and by providing hands-on assistance in nearly every workshop delivery across nine Tour stops to date. Even more exciting is that our community of MVPs delivering Theater sessions at these events are achieving consistently higher attendance at their talks than similar sessions- a testament to the value these voices bring to attendees.

This year’s Microsoft AI Tour consists of twelve flagship events run by Microsoft's corporate event team, with a great many more events being put on by local subsidiary teams in-market. With three corporate-driven Tour stops left this Spring, we’re on-pace to nearly double the number of MVPs contributing to the Microsoft AI Tour as compared to the previous year! With more than 200 MVPs volunteering across the globe, these events are both an opportunity to share technical expertise- but have proven a great vehicle to connect with fellow MVPs within region; forging new and strengthening existing ties.

“It was so fabulous to get to see some familiar faces and also meet other MVPs and Microsoft staff face to face, some of whom I’ve been chatting with for years before!”- MVP at the Sydney event

Beginning in August, MVPs have joined the event as speakers, technical booth staff, and workshop proctors across events in Mexico City, São Paulo, Paris, Berlin, Toronto, Sydney, Bengaluru, Johannesburg, and New York City. In many of those cities, the local Community Program Managers (CPM) also coordinated both additional programming in partnership with the Microsoft Reactor team and social meetups amongst fellow MVPs in town for the event.

"The interactions I had during these events were priceless. I met amazing founders discussing their innovative startup ideas, curious developers eager to learn about Azure and shared memorable moments with colleagues, MVPs, and friends."- MVP at the Toronto event

Driving the impact even further, any MVP who has delivered a theater session as a part of the Tour is invited to redeliver the session virtually through the Microsoft Reactor- garnering an even larger digital audience for their content!

Though we’ve had a very successful event series so far, there is always room for further growth! As we plan for next year’s Tour- the MVP Program team will look to expand this coordinated MVP presence and opportunity to even more tour stops- including some of those run by local subsidiary teams.

A massive thanks for those who’ve joined and supported this event series- your impact is substantially felt. Find an event in your region and learn more about the Microsoft AI Tour here.
