How to Capture and Read HID Traces in Windows 8.1

I am also trying to capture usb traffic.  I'm trying to eliminate a dll for usb relay control and just use HID commands directly.  I have an application the drives the relay correctly, but when I try to do it myself, I fail.  I'd like to see the protocol the app uses.

I discovered my problem.  The sample code generated by ChatGPT had the command and relay number in the wrong order, and should have used send_feature_report instead of write.

Here is the simplest program to turn on a relay in python.  You have to install the hidapi module for this to run:
