Leveraging the convergence of Microsoft Defender for Identity in Microsoft 365 Defender Portal

I agree with Kim's comments. We're going through this move in my company too and i find the MDI portal much better and easier to use. You can easily see all activities against the one user/group/computer in one view and more importantly you can search back really far.

for example, if i search for my own user account, i have data going back 2.5 years. I obviously can't download it in one go, but its there and possible if i did want to see it in smaller chunks. The data in defender feels you have to know exactly what you're looking for (which isn't always the case) and you have to be searching very recently.

Most of the time i find MDI useful is when someone says "can you see what happened to this account on X day" which could be months ago - and i can easily find that information very quickly. No chance with the new portal.
