MicrosoftAsynchronous execution is not an improvement, almost all the time when I have to run an audit search I have to repeatedly adjust the query in order to get the desired set of results. Thus being able to quickly run a synchronous operation (often times with -ResultSize 1 just to ensure I get results) beats having to wait 5-10-15 minutes for a single search to complete. Search-UnifiedAuditLog might be old, but it's certainly useful 🙂
Which is not to say the new Graph API based solution is without any merit, it's actually quite welcome! Just not a big fan of MS trying to get rid of cmdlets, instead of improving them.
