Earlier this year at TechEd North America, we announced the preview of a brand new app delivery service: Azure RemoteApp . With Azure RemoteApp, you can deploy Windows apps in the cloud and access them from any device. Today, we are excited to announce Azure RemoteApp’s general availability date and our pricing plans. General Availability Azure RemoteApp will be generally available on December 11, 2014 . Existing preview customers’ subscriptions will automatically be transferred to a 30-day free trial at this date. The service will be available on December 11, 2014 as a Pay-As-You-Go subscription through Azure direct purchase, through Enterprise Agreement monetary commitment and Azure in Open monetary commitment. For the customers interested in annual per user commitments, Azure RemoteApp plans will be available for purchase in Enterprise Agreements starting February 1, 2015. Azure RemoteApp To stay productive, people need anywhere, anytime access to corporate resources on the devices they use. Delivering these resources to different device platforms is no easy task. In certain use case scenarios, providing native applications to each platform may not be the ideal solution. Azure RemoteApp provides an effective solution for application delivery: Applications run in the Azure cloud and are accessed through the Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). Your employees can use corporate applications from anywhere and on a variety of devices including iOS, Mac OS X, Android, and Windows platforms. In addition, on the back end, the applications are securely managed, automatically scaling up or down to meet the changing needs of your businesses. We’ve received positive feedback from customers on the simplicity of the app-based approach and have continued to improve the service with new features and functionality during the preview period. Pricing Azure RemoteApp is designed to provide scale, agility and global access to corporate applications. The pricing plans are designed with the same approach to provide you with the flexibility and the scale you need. With our two flexible per-user, per-month pricing plans, you can easily get started and manage costs as you move forward.
