Updated 7/7/2014 Author: Cory Ferro, Program Manager, Enterprise Client and Mobility A new version of the Windows Phone 8.1 extension is now available to coincide with the release of Cumulative Update 2 (CU2) for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager. This extension update has been released to address a minor conflict with the supported platform list in the CU. Other than resolving this issue, there is no new functionality in this update. The impact of having the old version of the Window Phone 8.1 extension and the CU enabled at the same time is that a few string in the list of supported platforms may not be displayed exactly as expected. We recommend that you install the updated extension to ensure that the strings will be displayed properly. The new version of the Windows Phone 8.1 extension can be enabled before or after the CU installation. If the Windows Phone 8.1 extension has already been enabled, the update will appear as a new item along with the enabled extension in the Extensions for Windows Intune node in the Configuration Manager console. The updated version of the extension has same name as the enabled extension but should have a newer value for Date Released and a status of Available. If the value for Date Released is blank, this is a known issue and has no effect. To install the updated version of the extension, select the new version and then click Enable. You do not need to disable the older version of the extension before you enable the updated version. When the updated version installs, the configurations you previously made for the extension are retained. After the new version installs, only the most recent version of the extension displays in the console.
