Validate critical information security skills with our new Certification
Considering that the Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate already includes all these topics, I don't see why current certification holders should need to take this new exam to validate the same set of skills.

- Implement data lifecycle and records management
- Monitor and investigate data and activities by using Microsoft Purview
- Manage insider and privacy risk in Microsoft 365
 sc-401 -As an information security administrator who earns this Certification, you demonstrate your expertise in: - Implementing information protection.
- Implementing data loss prevention and retention.
- Managing risks, alerts, and activities.
 - palnikJul 11, 2025MCTThis exactly. New exam is fully included into old one with less material. Certification holders should be either granted new certification or be eligible for a renewal test. Making us take a whole new exam that is the same, but less, is really inconsiderate a feels like a money grab. And it this is not the case, it should be explained in more detail, what has changed in the new exam that warrants taking it.
