I am trying to manage the move of our 400+ staff company moving to Endpoint Manager from a 3rd party device manager. I am learning as I go on this. Some of the biggest challenges I have are:
- The number of licenses and the overlap between them. It is quite complicated to manage this for a medium size company who cannot afford dedicated specialized staff.
- The various products seem to be quite disjointed. I have to learn to work through multiple (changing) portals to find ways to do what I need to do which in theory should be grouped in to one interface. And then there is the possibility things have moved by the next time I log in.
What would really help is if Microsoft have a top level team that plans out these services for the next few years and develop a product tree that all their teams can work around. I expect this would help to develop a logical interface where everything related to a device or a user's activity can be viewed/reported on with a few clicks.
