The link I gave shows all three applied skills that I described. I purposefully provided the link that showed just those three applied skills and nothing else.
These three applied skills were released between October 2023 and January 2024. They are not a direct replacement for PL-100 certification but as I suggested they cover some of the content that was in PL-100.
Due to security issues a number of Microsoft Learning labs and other learning resources are temporarily unavailable and this has affected the applied skills as well. I don't know when they will be available but it looks like some are now available https://trainingsupport.microsoft.com/en-us/mcp/forum/all/back-online-list-of-applied-skills-assessments-now/13cf99f8-081d-474a-b200-dddf8c751c0a
Applied Skills are NOT certifications, they are a type of credential that you can obtain. Certification exams are also a type of credential. Completing a set of applied skills does not grant you a certification.
So in answer to our questions:
QUESTION 1: Do you know if there is an expected completion of these applied skill sets and their certification exam(s)? ANSWER: I am not sure what you are asking, applied skills and certifications are different types of credential.
QUESTION 3: Will there actually be three independent certifications or will they be unified again? ANSWER: No these are separate credentials. What Microsoft plans to do in the future has not been announced.
QUESTION 2: What will the certification number(s) actually be? I'm guessing that APL-700 is an unlikely number and PL-700 is also unlikely. ANSWER: They are not certifications, the codes I have seen for these are APL-7001/7002/7003 and PL-7001/7002/7003, etc but these numbers do not show on my transcript.
