Tf1234567, fundamentals certifications are not a requirement for any role-based or specialty certification. If you are pursuing a role-based or specialty certification, the exams for fundamentals are optional, but be sure to check on the training, to cover your basics. The certification is the cherry on the top to prove you have that foundational knowledge.
Role-based and specialty certifications assume you know your basics. You can use your Azure Data Fundamentals training and certification to reinforce your basics for certifications like Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Data Analyst Associate, or Azure Developer Associate, but it’s not a prerequisite for any of them.
