Defending Linux? Seriously, Microsoft? Are you so bored with breaking Windows that you have to come and stir up trouble for a system you once called a "cancer"? I suppose that—given the work being done by Valve, the community, the WineHQ team, Epic Games, and the emergence of office suites that clone yours (like ArtCraft)—you’ve decided you need to move into this more respectable space, right? It’s quite curious: a company creates an operating system and uses some "interesting" tactics to ensure it comes pre-installed on every new computer—and, funnily enough, other companies often have to modify it before installation just to keep it stable. Even more interesting is that governments are switching to Linux, too; there must be a reason for that, don't you think? And don't even get me started on Azure—you don't even use your own system there! Or look at SAP: if you were a company that truly trusted its own software, you would surely migrate to your own platform. Even if the sheer volume of data meant it would take some time, the option is there—yet you don't take it. Or... could it be that your software simply isn't up to the level of SAP?
