MicrosoftHi ... in the Merger situation and in particular solution 1 - keeping the old tenant in read-only mode: Do user's workstations need to be reinitialized to the new tenant (i.e. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/information-protection/how-does-it-work#initializing-the-user-environment)? If so, what are the steps ?
How does authentication and license issuance for content protected in the old tenant work since users no longer authenticate in the old tenant (e.g. the user requesting access is in new tenant albiet it has a proxyaddress from its account in the old tenant considering the domain for the proxy address has now been moved to the new tenant)?
Does removing the users from AAD in the old tenant 'break' this approach ? If not. how should the users be modified to minimize costs, eliminate access, etc.?
