How is it that you link to this article from your documentation saying there is an imminent replacement to the functionality that is the only way for third-parties to integrate meaningfully into your Micorsoft Entra ID authentication flow yet provide no updates 3-4 years later? I have complained for years about Apple's monopolistic practices and vendor lock in and this is just as bad. Forcing people to use Microsoft Authenticator to get phishing-resistant MFA and hoping they all comply before you allow others into the ecosystem is the worst. Sure, you may have a few integrations with other large vendors so that you can claim you are not locking people out, but startups and small businesses have no chance. Oh, and I just noticed your new "Important" note that says using any custom controls completely breaks conditional access, PIM, and a bunch of other features. I am sure there is a way to get all of that to work with custom controls, but yet another easy way to lock your biggest customers into your stuff and make people ditch the few custom controls that you do support.
