Are legacy protocols in general or legacy authentication protocols meant?

  • Legacy protocols = POP, SMTP, IMAP, and MAPI
  • Legacy authentication protocols = Basic Auth (should already be disabled, may SMTP not yet...)
  • (User authentication = SMTP AUTH)

Will for example, IMAP with Modern Auth (OAuth2) also be impacted?
