This might be slightly off topic, but since this is the first non-cross-scripted/altered page I've found summing up exactly what seems to be going on on my network: I need help with exactly this! What do I do as a regular home user?
This has been going on for months and I can't get rid of it despite reinstalling windows over and over, clearing out bios, router firmware, everything. I wasted both money and three months of failed attempts at fixing this myself and really can't afford a personal technician. "Who ever's in the middle attacking" really has the upper hand here no matter what I try, swapping out safety certificates, renaming package files for windows etc and whatever antivirus I manage to run ends up chugging through and endless flood of fake files (1M + on a fresh install). I've tried contacting MS but I don't think it's legitimate support since they're so -.-
What can I do, except for completely switching to a tech career? Any help would be so much appreciated, even if just a pointer somewhere.
