So glad I found this post.

 

I'm migrating from an older home based Windows Server 2016 Essentials build to a new Windows Server 2019 Standard build with the idea being the new server will be a file server with some access restrictions.

 

I am avoiding ADS and DNS server details and hoping to use local-to-the-file-server accounts as you've specified. I'll seek out your other blog posts on this but the question I hope will be answered is how to secure individual users against their own folder in, for example, E:\ServerFolders\Users\user01.
