Very interesting and I'm keen to give this a try - I've been troubled with FreeNAS for too long, after it (or Windows 10 Home) stopped allowing me to map my NAS drives to Windows 10 Explorer.
I'm very confused about the Local VS Microsoft Account setup. With regard to my failed attempts to map FreeNAS, every combination of Local and Microsoft Accounts won't allow me to map to NAS (I even created a Local Account specifically to set up this capability but without success. I have always been using W10 with a Microsoft Account - at least since MS introduced the concept).
But every combination of User/Password tells me I've got the wrong network password).
In your video tutorial you touch on Local Accounts and the core of my confusion is that, if my Microsoft Account traverses different Microsoft aspects such as Teams, Sharepoint, etc., do I lose access to those platforms by using a Local Windows Account to configure and access a W Server 2019 NAS environment?
