I saw “Static compression is being disabled” error in Event Viewer. It didn’t have any user-side effects but SCCM kept sending notifications about it.

I have just found another solution to this problem if users are still experiencing this.
I had this issue with Server 2016 with event log clogging up with '2264' and also '9009'.
1) Create a directory on another drive ( other than C:),
2) Go into IIS and under computer, double click 'Compression',
3) Change 'Cache directory' to the new directory from step 1.
Voila!
