Microsoft has rolled out a new experience for managing Copilot agents directly in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Here's what you need to know:
What’s New
- Dedicated Copilot Section: A new “Agents and Connectors” area is now live under the Copilot section in the Admin Center.
- Centralized Management: Previously managed under Settings > Integrated Apps, agent management is now part of the broader Copilot governance model.
- Wave 2 Spring Release Update: This change aligns with what was announced during the Wave 2 Spring release and at Microsoft Build.
Key Features
- Agent Visibility: View all agents available in your tenant—Microsoft, custom, and shared.
- Filtering Options:
- Microsoft & External: Default view showing built-in agents like Researcher.
- Custom: Agents built in Copilot Studio by your org.
- Shared: Agents created by users via the Copilot web app or Copilot app.
- Agent Controls:
- Block or remove agents
- Assign agents to specific users or security groups
- Review agent details, including knowledge bases, actions, and triggers
Admin Roles & Permissions
- AI Admin or Global Admin: Required to manage or block agents.
- Global Reader: View-only access.
