Could I confirm the following two points regarding the content of the article?
1) Regarding the content described in section [Tracking commitment discount utilization], which is displayed in the 'EffectiveCost' of the row data "CommitmentDiscountStatus = Unused"?
a) The cost per hour after discount × 6 hours
b) The cost per hour at the regular price × 6 hours
2) From section [Reviewing cost in Power BI], Regarding the records where "CommitmentDiscountStatus = Unused", is the understanding correct that the formula for calculating the exact savings amount is ContractedCost - EffectiveCost - commitment discount?
Unused commitment discount rows will show BilledCost = 0 (covered by the purchase) and EffectiveCost = cost of 24h - the sum of the used cost for that same CommitmentDiscountId. So, if you have 18h of used cost, then yes, it would be 6h of cost for unused. The price is the effective unit price based on the commitment discount. You can see the price in x_EffectiveUnitPrice. Not a standard FOCUS column, but something Microsoft adds to help complete the picture. You can compare this to the ContractedUnitPrice or ContractedCost to compare it to what it would have been without the commitment discount or to ListUnitPrice/ListCost to see what it would've been without any discounts.
ContractedCost - EffectiveCost = savings from your commitment discount, yes.
