Windows Server 2003 R2 includes an http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9bfb44f5-232a-4fb5-bc14-45bfd81b7ac1&displaylang=en for running some of the R2 snap-ins on XP SP2 computers. A newsgroup customer recently tried this but found that some of the DFS Namespaces options are greyed out. As it turns out, you also need to install a http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898900/en-us to add the new DFS Namespaces APIs to XP SP2 computers. Once you do this, you can configure the new options for target priority, target failback, and more.
