FYI: Due to Tenant Attribution, organizations that send e-mail from on-premises should run the extended report to determine if they are affected, regardless of the intent to relay through Exchange Online or not.
We are not in a hybrid configuration and not configured to relay through Exchange Online. Our on-prem apps send notification e-mails directly to a "third-party cloud service that provides services such as archiving, anti-spam, and filtering", which relays them directly to recipients based on their MX record. The extended report revealed Tenant Attribution resulted in one notification being affected by this change because it was redirected to relay through our Exchange Online.
Even without the impending change, the extended report is a good tool to verify if your org is sending a specific type of problem e-mail.
