Hi hatsikidee , what is the average source latency that you see there?
$stats = Get-MoveRequestStatistics <user> -IncludeReport
$stats.Report.SessionStatistics.SourceLatencyInfo.Average 

Additionally, can you provide me with the MRS FQDN on-premises (https://mail.contoso.com/ews/mrsproxy.svc) and the Mailbox Server name hosting the Migration arbitration mailbox: Get-Mailbox -Migration | Get-MailboxStatistics | FL servername ? (private message)

From an MRS perspective, migrating through another hop is not going to be the best route anyway. Most customers are looking for lower latency and better throughput which can be best achieved by directly exposing on-premises endpoints.
