Troubleshooting Outlook Web Access Logon Failures in Exchange Server 2007
ok I got it working after 2000 tries and searching all over the place.
instead of just using the email address for the username when you need to authenticate you need to use this format
user: <domain><exchange SAMS id>
so if my email was billy@qwertyiopasdfgh.com hosted by ihostexchange.net it would look like this
user: ihostbilly_qwertyuiopasdf
sorry if it's a bit confusing. maybe it will help someone.
