>>jeff-thompson How can we force an update to the detected Exchange version? We installed the March 2024 SU to our existing Exchange 2016 and the report still shows an older version.
You can't. The report currently only shows out-of-date servers (currently out-of-date or out-of-date in the past). If you updated it to a compliant version the Status should change to Resolved and the Details column will state you updated to a compliant build. The record is now an historical record for that server for when it was out-of-date and what happened with it (resolved due to your updating to a compliant build).
However, as mentioned in my reply above, there was a report bug where the Status wouldn't update to Resolved even though you updated correctly. That's been fixed and should be mostly rolled out now. If you're still not seeing that DM me and include a large screen shot of the servers table at the bottom half of the report (so I can read all the text) and your tenant ID.
FWIW, to help reduce confusion about all this in the future, we're redesigning the report so in the future it'll just show ALL connecting servers (not just the out-of-date ones) showing the latest detected build, with server build Status of either Up to date or Out of date (ETA later this summer).
