I am trying to help a small firm with 250 mailboxes and about 190GB of email. Probably 10% of the users have 2-5GB mailboxes with a mailbox that is 13GB in size. They just purchased new hardware to move their 2 node cluster to and users are still complaining about client "slowness".
I read you post and it advised limits and quotas, but I am not sure whether these larger boxes are causing the instability. A manager said a "friend" of his is at an org that hosts 1000 mailboxes with 200GB in size and they don't have issues.
Can having a "larger" mailbox cause issues for all users?
I used the ExBPA and it helps quickly track down some config issues, but it would be helpful as an IT person to truly understand the problems (if really a problem) of several users having large mailboxes.
Any thoghts?
