Step by step run of the Exchange Calendar Update Configuration Tool (MSExTMZCFG.EXE)
Hi,
I am having 2 separate problems.
I should probably mention our servers are still on 5.5 in case that makes a difference.
I downloaded and installed the first version of the exchange tool and have not been able to get it to update any single instance meetings. Basically all non-recurring meetings are being ignored. I have confirmed that I am not using the /onlyrecurring setting. I have also tried the /maxappts option. I have removed and re-installed the tool several times with no luck. Using TZMOVE by itself doesn't work on single instance meetings either. The recurring meetings are updated using either method. Is that locked in somewhere that I cannot find? Somewhere in the Registry perhaps?
So then I saw version 2 of the tool had been released. I tried that and now I cannot even get past the initial configuration screen. I get an error "Unable to retrieve the server distinguished name. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted". I am using the same distringuished name as before! I uninstalled and tried the first version and that still works for the name so what can be the problem? I have removed/re-installed. I have also used LDAP to confirm I can actually contact the server from this workstation.
