Step by step run of the Exchange Calendar Update Configuration Tool (MSExTMZCFG.EXE)
This may have been answered several times already, but if someone could give me just a yes/no answer I'd appreciate it. We were planning on deploying all patches and running the Exchange tool this weekend in the following order:
a) Patch all servers
b) Patch clients
c) Patch Exchange 2000 with DST update
d) Run Exchange tool
We have decided to delay this one weekend as we want to coordinate it with our Goodlink upgrade and I hear there are some new Exchange tools coming. Anyways, is there anything that would prevent us from still doing step "a" this weekend - Patching the servers with the DST patch and then waiting until next weekend to complete steps b through d? If so, do we need to patch domain controller servers before member servers? Can we patch all member servers this weekend and do the DCs, clients, and Exchange parts a week from now? Thank you!
