I have read the release notes and all the posts here. But unfortunately not sure about the process.
We are now in mixed environment Exchange 2013 latest CU+SU in hybrid mode and Exchange 2019 CU10 + latest SU. And planning migration of mailboxes. And I have two main questions/topics
- Do we need to use again /TenantOrganizationConfig parameter when going to Ex2019 CU11 (it was obviously done in the past with previous CU installation)?
My understanding is, that it is not necessary, because we are not upgrading schema, right? There's no schema upgrade from CU10 to CU11. - We (Exchange admins) do not have any special AD rights. Will the old approach work - asking AD team to execute /PrepareAD and then we will run only the CU update? Or we need to be granted special AD permissions for the CU11 installation? I guess the old approach will not work, based on the official release notes statement:
