I'm just reporting the same error as others. In a hybrid environment if the mailbox exists on the cloud but is attempted to be accessed through local Exchange OWA, the URL to the mailbox redirect page is wrong. Changing the \u0026 to & displays the correct page with redirect.
This isn't a problem for us as all our mailboxes are online, but I really just want to express my feelings that I am hoping Microsoft will provide a way to decommission Exchange in a hybrid environment. It surely can't be that difficult to create a light weight AD attribute / mailbox editing tool to manage mailbox settings while keeping the local AD as authoritative using AADC to sync to the cloud.
AADC running with password sync, SSSO etc is an elegant solution that joins local AD to the cloud so well. This just seems like the last part of the puzzle. This would also probably save an awful lot of people having to install these security and cumulative updates, keeping their Exchange servers up to date and save a lot of stress at the same time if something goes wrong!
Is it in the pipeline at all? Or am I just missing something massively obvious?...
