Seeing odd and unexpected behavior when updating one of our Exchange 2016 servers with CU23 and have opened a ticket with support.
Windows Installer is prompting almost immediately to insert "Microsoft Exchange Server" disk and cannot proceed past it. We had no issues when installing CU23 a couple of weeks ago and haven't had issue with this SU on our other servers.
Have restarted server, downloaded the SU several times, deleted temp files and folders, mounted the Exchange 2016 CU23 ISO, and even had another colleague try under his local profile.
AV is only monitoring, and other services have been stopped.
Additionally, updating via Windows Update produces "Error 0x8024002d".
Lastly, we've run the setupassist script which suggested an issue with the installer cache but the fixinstallercache script fails to complete.
Please advise.
